My server isn't rebooting when it crashes. I'm using XP Pro and when the server crashes, I get a window pop up asking me if I wish to report it to Microsoft. If I manually shut down the server, it does reboot. Anyone know of any way to prevent this microsoft report window from appearing as I believe it's preventing NWNX from rebooting the server?

Hi Raine,

I think I know your problem. Try this...

1) Right click on "My Computer" and select Properties

2) Click on the Advanced Tab

3) Click on the "Startup and Recovery" button.

4) Deselect the "Administrative Alert" option

also you can try to change the "Debugging Information" to [None]

Hope this helps...

But having said this, you should possibly investigate why your server process is crashing. Check the nwnerror.log and nwnserver.log. It is not normal for the server to crash a lot in my experience...

Maybe I'm putting the cart before the horse, but I'd thought I'd tackle this problem first. The server crashes every 3 or 4 days with one reboot per day. I'll try your suggestion and let you know if it works. Thanks!

Have you tried to do a build of the module. Check your logs. Someone may be doing something to crash the server. Ask your players what they were doing at the time of the crash. Is the computer in an air conditioned room. I heard you guys are having a heat wave up there, it could be heat related. What sort of machine configuration is it. Post here what you can and I will try and help ya !!!

The Administrative Alert button was already deselected. However, I did see the Error Reporting button right underneath the Startup & Recovery area and have deselected having programs reported. I think that will work.

I've done a build of the module countless times, though it takes about 4 hours. I've asked the players and haven't seen any commonality yet. Computer is in a moderately a/c room and is fairly cool in spite of the 100+ heat. Config - P4 1.8, 1.5 gig ddr, Winxp pro, nwn 1.67, cep 1.53, with some custom scripts and HCR. I'll get more info to you later.
