heyo,
I'm wanting to run two seperate installs of nwn2 on the same machine, each install has its own nwnx4 dll, and also want those two installs to run from its own database, all on the same machine. We've tried the setup described, but when the other server starts up, it disconnects the first server from the database (it seems). Did we miss something on setting up multiple instances of nwnx4?

well i got it to work with a single instalation of nwn2. I needed two different nwnx4 installations, each pointing to a different module but the same nwn2server. Figured people may be interested in this as 33-2 have viewed the post. Smile

Yes, it seems that everyone on these forums like to read posts
but never actually help out, hell the setup instructions are so old
they still reference madcodehook dll.
I'm going out of my damn mind trying to work out why the demo
module can access my mysql database and why my mod can't
access the database. Haven't had a reply in a week.
anyway thanks for working out the problem yourself, I'll keep note
for when I want to run two module instances.

what type of database are you trying to use?

If its MySQL, you need to set class = SQL, then fill out the info. Then in the sqllite.ini, set class = SQLoff. Then I think you also need to set something in the database_functions script... maybe its the nwnx script. Both are in the toolset though when you open the demo module
