No options currently. This was only used to turn on the special stack trace logging for CGameEffect::~CGameEffect that we used to track down the crash on death with CON additive buffs expiring bug introduced in 1.21 and fixed in 1.22.

The 1.23 gold (1.0.23.1763) version of xp_bugfix will work on 1.23 + hotfix (1.0.23.1765). I've verified that all offsets (and function register allocations) relating to xp_bugfix patches are identical between the hotfix and release version of the server.

Special thanks to msingh from OEI for getting symbols out for this patch the same day it was released, allowing for a quick update.

New release 1.0.3:

Issues addressed in xp_bugfix 1.0.3 for nwn2server 1.0.23.1763 / 1.0.23.1765:

- Fixed a server crash when a player who has not initialized their automap departs the game.

The download link is on the first post.

This build requires that you update your VC2005 SP1 CRT. All future xp_bugfix builds will include this requirement.

Instructions for updating your VC2005 SP1 CRT are included in the first post.

Please check that you see xp_bugfix 1.0.3 loading in xp_bugfix.txt after installation to ensure that you have the latest VC2005 SP1 CRT installed, as you will get no messages there on server boot if you didn't update the CRT.

Release xp_bugfix 1.0.5 with a client transition crash fix. This requires a new option set in your .ini file, ReplaceNetLayer = 1. It also requires that you download a new suppot file; see the first post of this thread for details.

Awesome!

but I am confused. I don't notice an xp_bugfix.ini anywhere?

even had the computer search for it.

Do you by chance mean the nwnx.ini?

No, you need to create the file. It's not included with the .zip.

Should it work on windows XP 64bit ?

I did install C++ Redist 2005 SP1 x64. But my nwnx fail to load the xpbugfix plugin, with this error message :

Error 14001, the appliation could not load.

Yes, it does.

Install the x86 redist package. You would need the x64 redist package for a 64-bit process, but xp_bugfix is a 32-bit DLL as it runs in nwn2server.exe which is just 32-bit.

You can install the x64 and x86 redist packages side by side on Windows x64. They are independent and you should install the one that matches the bitness of the program that you're trying to run.

(Most programs with installers already prepackage this module.)
