nwnx.ini allows you to include parameters for server configuration. My line looks like this:

parameters = -module Beginnings -servername "NWN2 Multiverse" -port 5122 -servervault 1 -autosave 0 -dmpassword xxx

Interestingly, it sets the servername, serverbault, autosave and port but it does NOT set the module to use and the dmpassword. Am I using improper syntaxt for the module and dmpassword commands? I tried them with " " marks but that didn't help.

I use the file nwnplayer.ini for the most settings and it works well.
( use the one under C:\Documents and Settings\xxxx\My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2 )

It is all under [Server Options] in that file.

In cases like this, just try it without NWNX4. I guess the server will behave exactly the same. You might want to check if you really have a .mod file (not a directory which contains your games files).

pretty pretty please add a command line for NWNX4 to start a module stored as a directory.

For testing this would save me 3+ minutes when I need to fire up the game to test something. Since I save in directory mode, I must save off my module as a .mod before firing up NWNX4. Packing the gigabyte module can be time consuming when actively testing.

Unfortunately, this is something that has to be fixed by Obsidian - nwnx just passes the command line options through to the server. The request for directory-mode support through command line has already been passed onto Obsidian by the community reps.
