I've released xp_bugfix 1.0.20, which you can grab here as a PW admin. Several files are needed:

xp_bugfix plugin itself - place in the NWNX4 directory: http://www.nynaeve.net/Skywing/nwn2/01231763/xp_bugfix_1_0_20.zip

Visual C++ 2005 SP1 CRT update - Required for xp_bugfix since 1.0.13 (just run the installer).

Additional support files required: http://www.nynaeve.net/Skywing/nwn2/01231763/AuroraServerNetLayer.zip (extract this .zip into your NWN2 installation directory, that is, the directory where NWN2Server.exe resides). (New AuroraServerNetLayer version with xp_bugfix 1.0.9)

This xp_bugfix release provides an alternate master server (hosted by me) that will be used to build a browsable list of online and active NWN2 game servers, for players to locate. Servers that run the updated xp_bugfix will check in with the alternate master server and list themselves automatically, without any other admin intervention required (no need to manually submit and maintain IP address lists, etc.).

The web page for displaying the server list will be available shortly. Installing the xp_bugfix update now will ensure that your PW is listed when that page is rolled out in the next few days.

The emulation master server is now operational and a simple web services API to return data about known servers is running.

API endpoint: http://api.mst.valhallalegends.com/NWNMasterServerAPI/NWNMasterServerAPI.svc

API WSDL: http://api.mst.valhallalegends.com/NWNMasterServerAPI/NWNMasterServerAPI.svc?wsdl

Use the string "NWN2" for the Product argument to request the server list for participating NWN2 servers.

A user-friendly front-end website (and CE integration) are forthcoming.

hey skywing, my apologies if this is a dumb question, but from what I understand the player side client that you will release when it is finished will be apart of your NWN2 Client Extension from the vault?

just wanted to confirm because all I've heard was rumors but not where and how the playerside "lobby" list will be. this is an absolutely exciting thing by the way!

The new NWN2 Client Extension release including client-side server browser support is now posted. Servers that install the latest xp_bugfix build are automatically listed.

Not yet. The information needed to do this is available, but it needs someone who knows their way around the NWNX2 build environment and can test NWNX2 plugins to make and validate the code changes.

Hello all Smile

I set up a new PW server using Nwnx4 with xp_bugfix on latest release Smile

I've some issues with firewall rule to get my server listed by the Master Browser.

I would like to know witch outgoing port it is use by xp_bugfix to update the master browser list ?

I've ever open the old GameSpy ports but my server don't appear; to get it listed I've to open all outgoing ports from my inside network to internet Sad

I realize this is an old post to resurrect, but just to ensure that if anyone runs into this situation again and are looking for a solution.

Check the IP of the endpoint, api.mst.valhallalegends.com and verify it with your firewall's logs of the IPs connecting. You'll see either it, or in the present case, 199.193.152.27 , attempting to query. That's the IP you'll need to allow.
